Hours per week:           6.25 hrs per week term-time / 1.25 hours per day

Contract:                      Permanent

Salary:                          £18,472 pro rata per annum - [Actual Salary £3,367.42 per annum Net]

The salary is subject to the 2019 National Joint Council pay award and any local agreements

 The Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Mid-Day Supervisorto supervise pupils at lunchtimes.

 The successful application will:

Duties will include:-

  • Develop and organise structured lunchtime play opportunities
  • To ensure that pupils wash and dry their hands before taking a meal
  • Ensure orderly conduct, queuing and controlled dispersal of pupils in the hall
  • Clear up spillages on tables and floor
  • Assist younger pupils in cutting up food
  • Ensure crockery, cups, trays and cutlery are taken to the return area
  • Assist in scraping of plate
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities
  • Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ achievements, progress and problems
  • Promote positive pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with any conflict or incidents inline with the behaviour policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour
  • Ensure pupils make proper use of toilets and cloakrooms
  • Be aware of emergency procedures e.g. fire drill and know what action to take
  • Supervise children in designated areas other than the playground during inclement weather
  • Report all accident and incidents to the designated member of staff
  • Positive role model at all times
  • Ensure the hall/classroom is clean and tidy before leaving
  • Undertake such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post
