More about the role:

The council is looking for a talented Communications Manager to provide communications support to its Integrated Health and Social Care Programme over the next two years.

As pressures on health and care services increase, we’re changing the way we work to make it easier for our residents to access the care and support they need locally. We are planning this through a network of integrated health and care hubs. The hubs will bring together health and care professionals including doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and providers of other wellbeing services. Because these staff will be working in one place, it will be easier for them to co-ordinate their services around the needs of local people.

The Council has already started building the first hub in Dunstable, and more will be starting to progress through to planning application stage soon.

As the Hub Communications Manager, you will advise the Hub team, coordinate and collaborate with partners and be the lead on all of the required communications for the Hub programme. You’ll be involved in explaining how the developments are progressing, overseeing the communication requirements for the builds, managing media enquiries and ensuring that partner organisations are all up to speed and in agreement on messaging.

You know how to create insightful campaigns, target different audiences and develop successful communication strategies. This role is a chance to find your greatness by keeping the people we serve informed about these major developments that will enable our residents to access Better Care Locally.
