We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to provide support for the delivery of a portfolio of high-profile capital projects. This role includes the commercial aspects of the New Engineering Contract (NEC) management including the production of monthly forecasts, valuation of NEC Project Manager Instructions, programme assessments, decisions on commercial matters, management of costs, dispute resolution, final accounts, and quantity surveying. The role will also require you to input to stakeholder management, corporate reporting, dealing with funding bodies, gaining approvals, budget management, writing scope for design aspects as well as overseeing the quality and timely delivery of design services and construction. You will be required to engage with colleagues in procurement, commercial, site supervision, finance and communications providing accurate and timely information on the projects. The current range of capital projects includes Arlesey Relief Road, M1A6 Link Road, Biggleswade Transport Interchange and Flitwick Transport Interchange.
