The Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Service (BESS) is looking for new English, maths, ICT and Digital Skills tutors to join the Skills for Work and Life team.
The BESS Skills for Life and Work team deliver learning to 19+ adults and 16+ apprentices.
As a Skills for Life tutor you will use a range of delivery methods, including classroom delivery, distance based (MS Teams and Google Classroom) and online platforms (Hodder Education Dynamic Learning and SMART VLE) to deliver dynamic and innovative teaching, learning and assessment that meets the needs of Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough residents in building skills for everyday life and work.
To apply for this role, you should have a minimum of a level 4 teaching qualification and experience of delivering non-accredited and accredited English and/or maths and/or ICT and/or Digital Skills to adult learners.
You should be fluent in English Language and able to communicate effectively, be proactive in working with and supporting colleagues, be prepared to build and help develop learning provision, be confident in embracing innovative teaching, learning and assessment approaches and be able to support the delivery of high quality learning which meets the diverse needs of our learners. In return you will be well supported and valued within our community based adult learning provision and provided with scope to build and develop your teaching and assessment practice.
