More Information

Licensing Enforcement Officer

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Enforcement Team which aims to deliver a joined-up service which is both responsive to customer needs and manages demand through a strong, intelligence-led approach to service delivery.

As an officer within this team, you will support the development of the licensing service, supporting a programme of routine inspections of various licences, including alcohol, regulated entertainment, late-night refreshment, gambling, taxi and private hire drivers and vehicles.

You will be a talented and energetic individual, committed to your own career development. You will ideally have local authority licensing experience and must have a proven record of investigating an allegation from initial receipt through to a successful resolution, which may include a licence review and/or prosecution of an offender.

You will play an important part in delivering a high quality, efficient, professional and customer focussed enforcement service by investigating reports of breaches of licensing and other offences and prosecuting those responsible where appropriate.
