The Commissioning & Procurement Team have a vacancy for a Corporate Category Manager, working as part of a busy team within the Resources Directorate.
Procurement at West Berkshire Council is high profile and you will work alongside colleagues across the organisation through to the Executive & Elected Members – a great opportunity to develop a career in public sector procurement.
Reporting to the Service Manager, Commissioning, Procurement & Placements; the post holder will take a lead role in the delivery of a range of corporate procurement initiatives, supporting the implementation of Category Management in the Council.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to make a positive impact are crucial for this role, along with a keen analytical mind-set and working knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
