The Service is responsible for the administration of a number of functions, including alcohol, entertainment, late night refreshment, taxi and private hire licensing, gambling and gaming, street trading, scrap metal and small lotteries.

You will supervise other Licensing officers as well as overseeing all aspects of the section’s work in compliance with statutory and local timescales. You will be required to prepare and present reports at Committee and provide advice and guidance to elected Members, members of the public, licence holders, applicants and other stakeholders. Attendance is also required at Magistrate’s Court to represent the Licensing Authority on any subsequent appeals. Although attendance in the office will be required, working remotely is also an available option.
