Merseyside Partnership Coordinator

1 x 36.00 Hours per week

Band P06

Temp until end of March 2027

Wirral is home to vibrant, energetic and engaged communities, people who take real ownership of their local area and are passionate about making Wirral a better place. The council and its partners have pledged to #BeTheDifference.

We’ve got ambitious targets to meet by 2025. To achieve everything we have promised to our residents, we need people who are driven and ready to deliver the very best for our communities - #BeTheDifference.

This is a role in which you will coordinate the Merseyside Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) Partnership. Your work will be focused on elected members and officers in supporting the local Merseyside FCERM Partnership. You will work alongside other Partnership Coordinators in the north west and assist in the delivery of workstreams defined by the Environment Agency's Regional Flood and Coastal Committee. You will also work with the four Merseyside Lead Local Flood Authorities providing support and oversight for the delivery of their workstreams. You will have opportunities to work with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority to ensure the FCERM agenda is fully integrated into their work.

You will be an excellent communicator, educated to degree level or with experience relevant to the tasks of organising and coordinating. You will be able to enthuse, inspire and influence so that the Merseyside Partnership stands out in its delivery of FCERM.

You will ensure our Merseyside Partnership is forward thinking and plays a key part in the region. You will work with and support our elected members at Regional Flood & Coastal Committee and Strategic Partnership meetings. You will support the Partnership by developing and monitoring the delivery of our Annual Business Plan based on our Merseyside priorities for FCERM.

You will have experience of working with external agencies and multiple partners. You will have excellent relationship management skills and use these to influence, inspire and enthuse. You will be able to communicate at a high level whether verbally or through written reports and presentations.

Above all you will be looking to improve the way our partnership delivers flood and coastal risk management across Merseyside and the north-west region for the benefit of our residents as they are at the heart of everything we do.
