Join the Council’s In-House Repairs and Maintenance Team where you can use your technical skills and enthusiasm to be part of team during an exciting period of growth and expansion. It is a busy team that carries out all types of maintenance and improvement work across a diverse range of occupied and vacant council properties.
You must have excellent customer services skills to work within a customer focused team, consistently ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. To be successful you must have good communication skills and excellent personal organisational skills to help you effectively complete your work each day.
We are looking for highly qualified Carpenter who can work efficiently and safely so you must:
- hold an NVQ / City in Guilds Level 2 or an industry recognised equivalent in carpentry and joinery or be able to demonstrate you are 3 - 5 years’ time served
- have a working knowledge and understanding of the relevant Health and Safety Legislation and safe working practices
- and, as you may be issued with Company Vehicle, you will need a current full driving licence.
This position is full-time - 37 hours per week.
You may also be part of the Council’s out of hours rota and paid in for this in accordance with the agreed
Standby Policy and, we will also pay you just under £50 laundry allowance per year!
