More about the role:

Inspiring Music, the music service for Central Bedfordshire is currently seeking an innovative and inspirational Vocal Coordinator. This role will oversee our high-quality musical provision from within our partner schools and the wider community and ensure that all delivery meets the core roles as set out by the Arts Council England.


The Vocal Coordinator will have experience of managing and working within a team and will line manage the team of vocal whole class deliverers, quality assure delivery, lead on the planning and curriculum enrichment requirements of each project and recruit where necessary. The Vocal Coordinator will communicate with other professionals about pupils’ learning needs, to identify and remove barriers to access and progress whilst ensuring best practice in safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.


Inspiring Music works very closely with local and national creative partners planning and delivering projects jointly to meet the local needs of the children in Central Bedfordshire and to develop and build skills, enthusiasm and demand which in turn allows us to cement and embed sustainable projects and leads on to further development of progression pathways.


To ensure that provision is addressing both national and local needs the Vocal Coordinator will work with the management team to ensure that there is a robust CPD programme that invests the relevant skills within the workforce to further develop teaching capacity and support development areas.

The successful candidate will work with the Head of Service to seek to develop a vocal strategy which meets the needs of the local and national landscape.
