Team Leader - Restart Programme

Team Leader, Full time 37 hours per week

FTC until 31/12/2024 

We are looking for a committed, experienced and qualified Team Leader to work within the Council’s Employment, Learning and Skills division.

You will oversee the maintenance, supervision and development of systems and processes for the Restart Programme, ensuring accurate and compliant storage of all data held on the systems.

Working under the direction of the one of the Service Managers, you will work within a small team providing a bespoke employment support service for unemployed and/or vulnerable people with health conditions who have been referred to the new DWP Restart Programme, assisting them in seeking, obtaining and sustaining employment.

You will review and transmit data in a variety of forms to key stakeholders, in particular statutory funding agencies, in order to draw down appropriate funding for the service and comply with inspection and funding regimes. You will ensure effective Restart programme cover at all times across both HPIJ offices.

You will line manage a team of Restart Advisors/Employment Coaches, each overseeing a caseload of adults utilising a multi-channel platform (digital, video, telephone). You will keep staff well informed and motivated to contribute to improvements in processes and procedures that will deliver efficiencies and service enhancements, including divisional strategies, quality standards and programmes of work.

You will undertake continuous professional development to ensure up to date working knowledge of the business use and benefits of existing and emerging systems and processes and, where appropriate, make recommendations for their application.

You will undertake quality assurance checks/caseload reviews to ensure contract requirements and service standards are fully met. You will engage and coordinate with government agencies (e.g. DWP/Jobcentre Plus), on an operational and strategic basis.

You will demonstrate knowledge of developing systems and processes ensuring accurate and compliant storage of data, as well as experience of line managing a front line delivery team on a day-to-day basis.
