Planning Officer

An opportunity has arisen within the Development Management team for the appointment of a Planning Officer within our busy section.

The post would suit either a recent graduate or someone looking to further their career.  The post holder will be responsible for a high caseload of planning applications with an opportunity to gain a significant amount of experience in a short amount of time.

This is an exciting time for Guildford, following the recent adoption of a new local plan there are several strategic sites coming forward and the role also offers the opportunity to assist senior officers with these projects and play a key role in the development of the Borough.

We are based in the attractive riverside Council Offices close to Guildford Town Centre.  Over the last 12 months the Council has been set up for remote working with laptop provided.  As a Council we offer employee benefits including a career average earnings pension scheme, generous annual leave and flexible working scheme.
