Trainee Engineer

Do you want to pursue a career in Civil Engineering?

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and natural built environment including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, sewage systems and structural components of buildings.

We are looking to appoint a Trainee Civil Engineer who will gain experience whilst working in our Engineering Team and also study on a day release basis to gain Civil Engineering qualifications up to Degree level.  You will need to be eligible to study for a BTEC National Certificate in Civil engineering

As we are looking at appointing someone new to civil engineering, the starting salary will be at the bottom end of the scale; which will increase as your experience and qualification studies progress.

You will also need to be able to work well in a busy environment, be a good communicator and a have the ability to interpret technical drawings and plans.

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be physically able to work in difficult site terrain, e.g. uneven ground, accessing deep excavations etc. and will also include sometimes working outside in inclement weather.

You will also need to have a full current driving licence and the use of your own vehicle for this post or achieve this within 12 months of starting.
