Revenues & Recovery Manager

Wokingham Borough Council is currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Revenues and Recovery Manager, Grade 11 (£50,885 - £55,951).

Reporting to the Head of Income and Assessments, the key purpose of this role is to manage the Council’s income streams, particularly Council Tax, Business Rates, Recovery and Accounts Receivable (sundry debt). This will be an exciting opportunity to enhance an expanded team of professionals, working to ensure that Wokingham maintains its success as the authority with the highest rate of council tax collection in the country.

Working proactively and collaboratively, you will support a coordinated and customer focussed service, to ensure that all due incomes are collected and where necessary, that appropriate recovery action is taken.

About you:

The successful candidate will be a strategic leader and collaborator; someone who has credibility and drive; a proven track record of delivering against collection targets, as well as change and service improvements. You will have an in-depth knowledge of the Council Tax and Business Rates legislative framework, government returns and policy agenda, combined with the ability to innovate.

You will be able to manage internal and external relationships, and demonstrate broad experience of working cross functionally to deliver objectives and influence decisions.

If you think you have what it takes, please contact Andrew Kupusarevic, Head of Income and Assessments on 07920 785784 for an informal discussion.

Closing date for applications: 11pm on Sunday 17th October 2021
Wokingham Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff, other workers, and volunteers to share this commitment.
