Team Managers at Newham can now look to a Social Care Academy, an expanded QA service, and a team of Family Therapists to support their teams’ practice and enrich their learning. Team Managers can also expect significant support to help them achieve personal career goals including career progression plans and training opportunities. These changes are a small part of the positive impact that our permanent, stable senior leadership team are making; noted by Ofsted in our recent monitoring visit. We’re not there yet, but Newham is moving steadily in the right direction.

ABOUT THE JOB
Team Managers play a vital role in supporting our Newham Together vision by ensuring that our social workers feel supported and that high quality practice is delivered to children and families. Team Managers are expected to show strong but compassionate leadership and create a secure team environment of open discussion/challenge whilst allowing systemic practice to flourish.
Reporting to a Service Manager, Team Managers in most services lead teams of 6-7 social workers and are supported by an Assistant Team Manager.
We are currently looking for Team Managers to join the following teams:
- Children in Care
- Children with SEND

We’re looking for Managers who have a genuine interest in a restorative, relationship based practice model drawing on systemic thinking to inform your approach to building effective relationships with children, families and communities.
You are a qualified social worker and registered with Social Work England.
