Housing Officer

We are hiring Housing Officers, join our fantastic team!

London based role – This role is a mixture of working in the community, office based work and working from home.

Kick start your career in housing

This is a great opportunity to work for one of London’s largest housing associations, make a real impact in people’s lives and develop the skills and knowledge for a successful career in housing.

As a housing officer you’ll manage a number of properties and be given the authority, budget, skills and support to creatively address the housing needs of your residents. We’re a people business, and our residents are at the heart of everything we do, so you will need to be a confident and effective communicator. We’re looking for enthusiastic people who thrive under pressure and really enjoy problem solving.

What will this role involve?

As a housing officer, no day will be the same and every day will be busy. You will be the main point of contact for residents and will be accountable for delivering services to them. It’s a highly varied and rewarding role, delivering a fantastic landlord service, finding the right person for your homes, keeping them in good condition and supporting residents to sustain their tenancies. You will get to see the impact of your work in person while building fantastic relationships with your colleagues and residents alike.

Why Notting Hill Genesis

We are one of London’s largest housing associations, providing more than 66,000 homes to people who need them most. As a housing association with strong social purpose, we are not-for-profit and every penny goes right back into providing the homes so needed by people. No matter what part of our business we work in, the positive impact that good quality housing has on people's lives is what motivates us.

We invest in YOU

You don’t need to have worked in housing before, you might just be starting out or you’ll be looking for a career change. We believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation.

As part of our team, you will have access to professional qualifications and career opportunities across our NottingHill Genesis business. You will also receive a generous holiday entitlement of 25 days, rising to 27 days after 2 years of service.  You will also receive a simply health cash plan to help cover the costs of your everyday healthcare expenses (eg opticians, dentist, physio) , generous pension scheme, and enhanced maternity pay and leave / shared parental leave options / paternity leave and access to our employee assistance programme for confidential support.

We are recruiting throughout autumn. If you are successful in your application, we’ll contact you about coming along to one of our assessment centres.
