Integrated Commissioning Manager PO8 (12 months fix term)

The London Borough of Waltham Forest in partnership with the North East London CCG have implemented a new integrated commissioning structure and arrangements for Waltham Forest.  This exciting development comes at a time when the health and social care sectors are looking to commissioning to support many of the local responses to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Implementation of the new integrated model is nearly complete with the assimilation of existing staff into new roles that have been designed to think and work across the health and social care spectrum, and who are adapting to their new ways of working. The new team currently has a remaining vacancy as follows:

Integrated Commissioning Manager (Better Care Fund and Wellbeing): Agenda for Change band 8a / Local Authority PO8

The integrated commissioning managers are considered flexible roles, with the capacity to shift and alter their portfolios and responsibilities according to the demands of the system and the workflow.  For this role, we are seeking a candidate with substantial experience of Community and Adult Social Care and Health commissioning to support the development of the Better Care Fund and Wellbeing agendas, coupled with strong generic commissioning skills, and experience of delivering commissioning programmes.  Ideally, candidates will have experience of navigating the decision-making processes and governance arrangements of both health and local government.
