Hours:             1.30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m. – Support Assistant

                       12:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. – Community Transport Driver

We are looking for enthusiastic people to work at our Saturday club, on a casual basis, with our older community service users to combat isolation and loneliness at weekends. This can be anything from chatting to them to playing games or going on a trip out.  Every Saturday is different.

Support Assistant’s will aid and encourage service users to maintain their independence and develop their confidence.  You will help them access facilities for personal care and encourage them to participate in activities.  Whilst being aware of changes in their level of need for example health, physical appearance, mental health etc, and advise the Centre Manager accordingly.

For the Community Transport Driver casual position, our Transport Service is provided using fully accessible minibuses of up to 16 seats, so experience of driving minibuses or other vehicles of similar size or bigger is desirable, although not essential.  In order to be able to drive our fleet of vehicles, you will need to have a D1 category on your driving license or have passed your driving test prior to January 1997.  Suitable candidates will need to have both practical skills and be sensitive to the needs and requirements of individuals using the service.  Experience of working with different client groups would be desirable. 

You will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
