Senior Project Manager

Job Title: Senior Project Manager - IT
Location: Countywide , currently working remotely
Salary Range: £43,857 progressing to £49,866 per annum
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 24 months

Job Duties:

We are seeking two senior project managers to join our dynamic and friendly team at this exciting time where you will play an integral part of a multi-supplier delivery team, working to simplify, standardise and automate services across the Council.

Working alongside our current IT delivery partner, you will deliver a range of existing projects such as:

  • review of the Council’s existing EDRMS system,
  • the creation of a future operation model design
  • implementation for the future Applications function as our existing IT partner contract comes to an end in March 2023.

As well as leading on the overall governance for these programmes you will manage ‘day to day’ controls, decision making, planning, resourcing, reporting etc. You may also be required to take on responsibility as a line manager to develop and coach others.

This role will appeal to you if you thrive in complex and demanding environments, where proactive and sensitive stakeholder management is critical. You will have a proven ability to communicate and deliver IT  projects confidently, clearly, and effectively. A strong track record of managing complex IT projects and the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of delivering IT change and stakeholder management to be able to translate technical discussions into business requirements, risks, actions, and issues is also essential.

The minimum criteria for entry for this role is : 2 years’ relevant work experience. It is also desirable to have current experience of continuous improvement processes and techniques, and a variety of project management techniques (Agile, Lean, PRINCE2 Practitioner).
