We’re now recruiting for an Accountant to join our Financial Services team. Reporting to the Assistant Business Manager, you will be responsible for all Financial Services work for one or more of the Council’s directorates. This will include budget setting and monitoring, assisting with the preparation of the council’s annual Statement of Accounts and supporting with the wider activities of the Financial Services section.

Preferably CCAB-qualified and with experience of Value Added Tax (VAT), it is essential that you have experience of working in local government finance. You will have good numerical skills and be highly PC literate. You will be able to prioritise workloads whilst meeting strict deadlines, work with minimal supervision and communicate financial information to all levels of staff.
