More about the role:
As a Contract Management Officer (CMO) you will support day to day contract management activities, working alongside the Contract Manager and a number of external training providers. You’ll be responsible for a variety of contract management tasks to ensure our adult learning programme meets key indicators, levels of performance and is contractually compliant.
BESS develops and provides services that support adults, young people and businesses improve their skills, that support growth in the local economy and which increase the opportunities for people who want to progress into further education, training and/or employment. You’ll find your greatness working closely with colleagues and external training providers to ensure relevant learning provision is available to support residents of Central Bedfordshire.
The right candidate will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. You must be able to effectively communicate with Council colleagues, providers and learners. A true multi-tasker, you must have experience in using a variety of Microsoft applications. Training will also be given on the use of our management information system.
Experience of applying legislation or company policy would be beneficial along with the confidence to raise and challenge any non-compliance issues.

Please note this post will include travel to our Adult Education centre in Houghton Regis, provider premises and delivery venues across both Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough. Please note that you must have a full valid driving licence and use of a vehicle for this post as you will be driving for business use on a regular basis. You will be asked to confirm this at interview.
