With your experience and technical expertise in highway maintenance you will play a vital part in the delivery of the council’s capital maintenance and minor works programme. In particular, customer care will be at the forefront of your everyday working.
As a vital member of the Highway Operations Team, you will assist the Highway Operations Manager in the design and implementation of highway maintenance schemes. As a member of the team, you will be experienced in working with contractors and local stakeholders as well as meeting members of the public. You will deal with a range of individual maintenance projects that will include resurfacing and reconstruction, surface treatments, patching, footway repairs and highway drainage improvements. The ability to use autoCAD, project management and asset management packages are essential. The work will involve visiting numerous sites and therefore you must have the ability to travel on a daily basis within North Somerset
