Repairs Advisor

CDS is on a mission! We are a social landlord, owning, maintaining and managing nearly 1,000 properties across the South East.

Are you personally passionate and enthusiastic about giving a great customer service? Are you a natural problem solver who thrives on having a new problem to solve? If so, this could be the role for you!

As one of our Repairs Advisors, you’ll be passionate about working as a team to deliver a repairs service that consistently impresses our customers, building our reputation for reliability and getting things done quickly and effectively.

You’ll be known for keeping your promises and learning quickly when things go wrong. With an obsession for safety, you will take quick and proper action to mitigate health and safety risks and escalate issues that require more attention. Your strong organisational skills will enable you to follow repairs through to completion – from handling the initial call from residents through to allocating the work and ensuring its completed and invoiced.

Ensuring our customers are happy and ensuring they have a say in things that matter to them, whilst ensuring value for money and a consistent service is a key part of this role.

In addition to being responsible for repairs, you will drive quick turnover of standard void properties, ensuring our lettable standard is met and properties are safe. You will also be asked to periodically respond to a variety of queries that come through our main phone number, the post or our generic email inbox.

With pace, energy and enthusiasm, you will have basic knowledge and confidence about responsive repairs and health and safety, and have the ability to prioritise work when dealing with competing demands. You’ll be willing to learn new skills and duties, stepping in wherever the team needs help and be comfortable taking ownership of your work, demonstrating that you can follow through on issues. We’d like you to have good numeracy skills, excellent communication skills and have a keen eye for detail, allowing you to closely follow written processes.

In return, we offer a contributory pension scheme, 28 days holiday + bank holidays, health cash plan, an employee perk system and up to a 10% annual bonus.
