Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to join their procurement partnership with Maidstone Borough Council. You will be providing advice and guidance on the appropriate procurement processes to key stakeholders and contract managers, ensuring that they are followed compliantly.
If you are educated to degree level (or a vocationally qualified equivalent), have three to five years’ experience within a procurement role in any industry, and you are looking to develop your career – we’d like to hear from you!
You will need to show that you have excellent attention to detail, as well as being creative and having the ability to problem solve. You will have a good understanding of category management processes, and have excellent interpersonal skills as you’ll be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, commercially astute, and has the ability to prioritise and manage a busy and diverse workload. If you have not yet taken Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Qualifications, you will be expected to study for these upon completion of your probation period. The Council is fully committed to supporting professional development and will work with you to find the best way for you achieve success in your exams.
