We are looking for a permanent Teaching Assistant who is flexible and happy to work in different settings, including supporting children at lunchtimes where necessary. This role will initially be with our Year 1 children, supporting teaching and learning in classes, delivering interventions and supporting children with initial needs to thrive in our classroom settings.
We would like to appoint someone who:
- is enthusiastic, confident and able to show initiative;
- has experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting, either through previous employment or through formal training (e.g. Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools).
- is an effective communicator with pupils and staff;
- possesses good literacy and numeracy skills;
- is able to deal with a child’s medical, physical, emotional and behavioural needs.
