We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our Business Support team, providing the public with front line advice and information across a range of services provided by the Council
You will be supporting a range of council service areas such as parking, environmental health, bookings for council venues and subscription services so it is important that you are well organised, can remain calm, focused and professional irrespective of whether you are handling enquires over the telephone, in person at the Town Hall, or by email or post
You will have proven experience of working in a busy front line customer service environment and be capable of handling a range of situations with tact, diplomacy and empathy. Excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to converse with all types of people and a polite and courteous attitude is a must, as is a commitment to providing excellent customer care. You will also be able to work well under pressure with minimum supervision while ensuring consistency and accuracy, be confident with technology and the use of software systems, with good keyboard skills.
