Quantity Surveyor

 

Providing Quantity Surveying Support on Schedule of Rates (SOR) Maintenance and Repair Contracts, Planned Maintenance and medium to large contracts.

 

You will deliver all aspects of Quantity Surveying from feasibility to final account stages for our Asset Management Section.

 

You will need to be customer focused with a willingness to put internal and external customers first and have effective communication skills, written and oral.  Also have knowledge of construction methods and have an understanding and be able to use various price books.

 

We are looking for someone who can work within a multi-disciplinary team and be self-motivated. You will need to be qualified in Quantity Surveying and have experience working preferably within the Public Sector dealing with schools, leisure facilities, public buildings etc.

 

Your experience should include Schedule of Rates Contracts, JCT Form of Contracts, Cost Estimating, production of Schedule of Works/Bills of Quantities. You will need a track record of providing successful QS support for various schemes, keeping them within the client's budget

Above all you will be looking to improve the way we engage with our employees/residents/customers to ensure they are at the heart of everything we do.

 

This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home.  In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
