Who we are...?

Firstly, let’s tell you about us. We’re passionate about helping organisations that make a difference to overcome skill shortages, to reach and attract the talent they need. We run the biggest job board in the public sector space, jobsgopublic, and have operated in the industry for over 20 years. The job board is well known and has a great reputation.

But we don’t want to sit still, we want to look to continuously improve the jobs board to ensure it delivers the best possible candidate experience.

We work with local government, charities, and various other public sector organisations, to build out and help them manage multi-faceted advertising campaigns to promote their roles. This includes a recruitment SaaS platform and the creation of client specific career sites and vacancy listing pages.

We’ve been fortunate enough that over the last year our business has continued to grow, which has led to us to expanding our sales team by over 50% and increasing our in-house capacity to match the increased client demand.

Here’s where you come in!

We need someone to join our team and bring about a step change in our technical capabilities, playing a key role in us meeting our digital product aspirations. Initially it will need someone to be hands on and understand our current offer and processes so they can help define what resources we need to accelerate the modernisation of our legacy platform.

They will need to be able to translate product requirements into technical solutions and the ability to deliver these to market while working collaboratively across the business.

What we need…

This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to take a leading role in the development of a full stack portfolio. This role will involve working closely with the Product and Design team through the full product lifecycle. Starting with the collaborative creation of briefs, providing key technical insight, through to the delivery of them to live and then in ongoing maintenance.

If would be great if you had…
• Expert knowledge of a variety of software/ languages. (HTML/CSS/ JavaScript)
• Experience with SQL databases, and the ability to design and develop APIs
• Comfortable in taking ownership of the path to production, and the operational quality of the product

Why join us?

Some of our benefits include 27 days holiday, above normal pension contribution, healthcare (including optical and dental), social events and 4:30pm Friday finishes.

We offer a hybrid working environment, but we only ask that you venture into the office once a week.

At heart, we’re a relaxed bunch but we really mean business when it comes to our services. We believe in what we do. We are commercial thinkers but understand thoroughly the complex frustrations our public sector clients go through daily.
