Hospitality & Catering Apprentice

Fixed Term Opportunity for 12 months

Birmingham Children’s Trust continues to go from strength to strength. We are the largest provider of family support and social care services for children, young people and families in the country. Our goal is to become a centre of excellence in both social work and family support.

We are actively looking for someone who has care experience and is a Birmingham Care Leaver.

We have an exciting Care Leaver Apprenticeship Programme and a real opportunity for someone to get into the world of hospitality. Working with our partner, Standing Ovation project, we are looking for the right person who has a passion for catering and hospitality.

The team at Standing Ovation are passionate about the difference their work makes to the quality of young people’s lives, by means of established pastoral support, building confidence, self-esteem and a strong contribution and commitment to communities, not just in Birmingham, but all over the UK. You will be joining a friendly, can-do, collaborative culture where they are constantly innovating and pushing the boundaries in new techniques and creativity amongst children and young people.

In the role you we are looking for a dependable and passionate catering apprentice, to help oversee the daily workings of the Note Coffee Shop. The apprentice will maintain a high-quality standard of service delivery to customers, managing the day to day running of the coffee shop, stock, seating area, kitchen, and appliances within the establishment.

You will be responsible for preparation, sale and service of food and beverages, accurately communicating the contents of products, meeting and greeting customers, coordinate with suppliers and other organisations and source information that support customers’ experience.

In the role you will need to undertake a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship and successfully complete level 2 qualifications in English and Maths if you don’t already have these.
