Head of Specialist Services, Safeguarding & Quality Assurance

We are looking for an inspiring leader to join our Adult Social Care senior leadership team. Someone with significant strategic and operational experience of Learning Disability and Autism, Mental Health & Safeguarding.

We are undergoing a significant Transformation & Improvement Programme; it is an exciting time of change, and we are looking for leaders who can help us deliver our aspirations in partnership with our staff, partners, and customers

You will act as our expert in Learning Disability & Autism and Mental Health and will have responsibility for the following operational services:

  • Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) / Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS)
  • Integrated Discharge Team

The postholder will be responsible for Safeguarding and Quality Assurance and will line manage the Principal Social Worker, who will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of social work practice are embedded across our Adult Social Care teams, ensuring robust policies and procedures are in place and followed.  

You will join a supportive, professional team, driven by a commitment to deliver excellent social work practice, with an absolute focus on quality.

You will be a confident, able, and knowledgeable Social Work England registered Social Worker with significant operational experience at a senior manager level who will work closely with health partners to develop models of working that promote excellent outcomes for residents.
