The Barnet group is seeking to recruit a Female Assistant Support Worker, with knowledge of people with profound and multiple disabilities. The Assistant Support Worker reports to the management team while working closely with colleagues.  

 

Rosa Morison is a specialist service for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and other complex needs (PMLD).  We are committed to the principles of Valuing People Now, promoting independence, involvement, inclusion and opportunities in a person-centred way.

 

We work very closely with colleagues from the Multi-Disciplinary Team within Barnet including Physio, Speech and Language and Occupational Therapists which enables us to support people with their general health and wellbeing.

 

The successful candidate will have experience and able to take on keyworking roles and responsibilities in addition to contributing to the smooth running of the service.

Experience of working with people with PMLD is desirable but not essential however the individual must have excellent communication and IT skills. 

 

Part of the role will include supporting individuals in the Hydrotherapy Pool with guidance and support from our trained Hydrotherapy Coordinator therefore, you will need to be able to go in the Hydrotherapy Pool. 

 

Due to service user's physical needs you will need to be physically fit to carry out this role.
