OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - SENSORY INTEGRATION
Salary Grade NJC SCP 35-39. £38,890 - £42,821 FTE
Full Time - 36 hours [8.30 - 4.15] - 39 weeks per year
Can be flexible if needed full time/term time

The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking to appoint a well-qualified, highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative occupational therapist to join a supportive and talented team of specialists who are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Drawing on your skills as an experienced occupational therapist, you will provide clinically effective, person centred and evidence based assessment and intervention to children at the school. You will also provide support and training to all education staff with regard to interventions and will provide OTSI intervention in another local special school.
As we support children who are experiencing or at risk of social emotional mental health difficulties, a large part of your assessment and intervention will focus on mental health and overall well-being in conjunction with supporting skills for learning.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and management experience, in addition to supporting service improvement and development in this specialist area.
The successful candidate will; be a specialist in Sensory Integration and have a recognised degree in occupational therapy HCPC registration and be a member of the Royal - College of occupational therapists, adhere to the standards for registration to the Health and Care Professions Council, have experience working with children with autism, learning disabilities and complex/SEMH.
