Business Support Officer

Business Support Officer, Complex Needs (Projects) – Adult Care

Farnham House, Stevenage (with occasional travel to other locations across the county and remote working from home)

Starting Salary £27,741 per annum progressing to £30,451

37.5 hours, 24 months fixed term or secondment

The Strategic Partnerships Teams is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Business Support Officer within the Adult Care Directorate to work with the Development Manager and Project Manager focussing on the implementation of an innovative pilot to support homeless adults with complex needs.

Working closely with the Development Manager and Project Manager for complex needs, this role will help support the delivery of the Co-Located Multi-Disciplinary Team Pilot and support the delivery of elements within a larger programme of work, with a focus on improving processes, systems and services designed to support homeless adults with complex needs. The Business Support Officer will support the team through a range of functions including data collection, setting up and minuting of meetings, invoicing and supporting the wider team.

Working with District councils, Public Health and other key partners, the pilot will build on the learning from the county’s multi-agency Covid response to supporting rough sleepers under ‘Everyone In’. The pilot will also link with the findings and experiences from the Government Changing Futures pilot areas, to promote good practice - making Hertfordshire ‘ready’ for any national policy change to support adults experiencing multiple disadvantages.

Proven experience in administration and business support, working towards shared objectives and a commitment to driving lasting change, is essential. This is a varied role for someone who is passionate about improving processes and contributing to systems change and who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience of working in the complex needs and homeless sector are desirable.

In return we can offer you excellent pension and benefits whilst working for an organisation that values its employees and invests in training and career development opportunities.
