About Mole Valley Life
With over 35 years’ worth of experience helping to support older, vulnerable and disabled residents across East Surrey, Mole Valley Life in partnership with Surrey County Council are now developing a responder service. Operational daily between 06:00 – 22:00, Mole Valley Life’s responders will be on hand to quickly deal with non-emergency situations out in the community and escalate as appropriate.
Community Response Team Leader - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract - Full Time - Salary £22,859-£25,404 - COMRESTL/01
Working across East Surrey, you will be leading a team to provide non-emergency assistance, as well as in-person wellbeing advice and signposting to local support services. Responding to alerts received by our Alarm Receiving Centre in Leatherhead, you will be required to use a strengths-based approach to best support the individual. Situations you attend could range from assisting a non-injured person who may have fallen, to having a cup of tea and a chat with an individual who may be feeling lonely and isolated.
The new service will form part of Mole Valley Life and Surrey County Council Adult Social Care team’s transformational proactive and preventative pilot work to empower individuals to live safe and well at home for longer through the use of technology.
The Community Responder Team Leader will include covering Community Responder shifts for annual leave and sickness absence, so some flexibility will be required. Although the position is initially offered as a one year fixed term contract, there is scope for this to be extended, dependent on the success of the pilot.
Able to work a variety of 8 hour shifts incorporating a 16-hour rota.
