Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer

Hybrid Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer – 14.5 hours per week

Band E, £10,396 to £11,830 pa

Do you have a drive to reduce workplace discrimination and promote positive attitudes?

As our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, your focus will be to promote good relations and practices whilst encouraging the value of respect, equality and diversity to develop within the Council and our communities.

The role requires you to be visible and undertake work with all our teams, giving advice and direction to staff and members, educating and ensuring they are compliant with the range of equalities issues.

We really want to hear from you if you have experience and a proven track record in equalities and are seeking a new challenge; in return we will offer a friendly supportive working environment with the opportunity to really make a difference.

Your 14.5 hours can be spread over a 5-day week (Monday to Friday). A hybrid working scheme is in operation and days and hours will be agreed with the successful applicant. Where possible staff will work from home and the offices, and you will be provided with the necessary equipment (laptop etc.) to do this.
