Human Resources – Senior HR Policy Officer

Salary: PO2 £38,883- £41,850 (pro rota)

18 hours per week (Ideally Wednesday afternoon, all day Thursday and Friday)

This is a great opportunity to showcase and develop your existing HR/People skills and knowledge as part of a friendly and supportive HR team, helping to drive culture change and facilitate service improvements across a large and diverse London Borough Council.

The Senior Policy Officer will play a key role in developing the organisation culture of the Council, becoming enablers and champions of change. Working with Department Management teams in developing and deploying a dynamic performance focused and flexible workforce with the capability to meet the demands of the changing environment and priorities.

You will lead the review and development of a framework of HR principles and policies that promote Council objectives, provide clear guidance that support managers and employees on a wide range of people related matters.

The role sits within the HR Business Partner Team and works closely with the Recruitment and Resourcing Team and the Organisational & Learning Development Team to provide a comprehensive in-house offer to circa 3500 staff and managers

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-looking HR professional with demonstrable experience of pay, benefits and reward. You will be highly numerate with exceptional analytical skills, able to accurately interpret data and work with attention to detail.
