We are currently recruiting for a Policy & Performance Manager to be lead officer for development, revision and implementation of all relevant policies and procedures across the Landlord Housing Service ensuring they are accurate, relevant and reflect good practice.
Ensure all policies and procedures as appropriate are formally Diversity Impact Assessed and issues arising addressed ahead of formal approval of the policy
Develop and monitor key corporate strategies ensuring there are clear links to relevant Housing Landlord Services Business Plan, Business Plan and policies and procedures.
Regularly review and revise the HRA Business Plan ensuring it remains fit for purpose.
Develop and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders in order to achieve excellent results and support our customers
Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Housing Policy and internal and external changes.
Report to and provide support services to the HRA Housing Management Team in terms of service development.
Draft responses to national, regional and local consultations in consultation with Senior Managers and the Executive Committee
To have overall managerial responsibility for development of the Housing Landlord Service Community Development and Resident Involvement Strategy and its development. To champion and inspire others to make resident involvement at the centre of all that the Landlord Services delivers.
Develop programmes and projects to develop community cohesion on Housing Estates in conjunction with Community Engagement Programme
Identify and bid for external funding for initiatives on Estates that support community cohesion and engagement
Lead officer for diversity and equality within Housing inc ensuring compliance with the CRE code in Housing and Diversity Impact Assessments
To provide effective and timely administration support in regard to Housing Service Managers in conjunction with Service Improvement and preparations for all audits and external evaluations such as IIP and Charter mark
To create and maintain an accurate central library of all master copies of policies and procedures across the Housing Service and details of dates for next reviews
Take lead role for an effective communication strategy with partners and customers around the work of the HRA Housing Team, ensuring literature is accurate, widely distributed and a range of communications methods are in place.
Take lead role for driving service improvement and new initiatives across the service as defined by the Service Manager.
Design mechanisms to ensure compliancy with all housing regulatory standards.
To assist the Head of Service with other associated tasks to achieve service excellence throughout the Service
