Support Worker – Short breaks & Supported Living

Medway Council’s Short Breaks and Supported Living services are looking to recruit caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our established teams based in Rainham.

The Short Breaks service is a flexible and personalised service providing care and support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within a small respite care home.  We want our guests within Short Breaks to enjoy a range of activities within the community therefore a driving licence and wiliness to drive our vehicle is essential.  As well as an enjoyable home from home experience whilst giving peace of mind to the family.

The supported living service provides intensive skill development support to assist adults with learning disabilities to develop skills for independence, including budgeting, cooking, planning, travel training and meaningful activities, including employment and education.  We also support people within the community who require flexible, personal support to live full and independent lives.
