Brighter Futures for Children

Children’s Single Point of Access Team

Full-time, 12-month fixed term (maternity cover)

Do you passionately believe in providing early intervention support for children and families to improve their life chances?

Are you a committed practitioner with proven experience working with vulnerable families and children?

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary Children’s Single Point of Access Team. The Single Point of Access deals with contacts from professionals and members of the public who are requesting support or have concerns about a child’s welfare and safety.

We require a motivated, professional and committed practitioner with experience of working with children and families to be part of an innovative and enthusiastic team.

You will explore and collate information from a range of sources including databases, other professionals and visits to family homes for families where it is felt early intervention and prevention services would be beneficial to the family.  Good communication skills are essential along with the ability to present written feedback in a clear format.

You will also work closely with other practitioners in the Children’s Single point of Access such as social Workers, Police, Health, Education and various other Agency partners. In addition to working with colleagues in the wider Early Help Service.

We are looking for a confident, skilled and committed member of staff and in return we will offer training, mentoring, supervision and the chance to work in an innovative service.
