We are looking for Casual Kitchen Porters to work in our kitchen to help maintain cleanliness, hygiene and deliver all elements of catering for all our various events throughout the year at the Reading Town Hall.
Shifts will vary and you need to be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as well as daytime shifts.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to keep the kitchen running efficiently and safely by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic.
You will be helping with receiving and unloading of deliveries of food and supplies.
Basic kitchen duties including washing, drying, waste removal and basic food preparation.
Do you have experience of working in a busy kitchen?
Do you have Food Safety in Catering Level 1?
We need people who are an effective communicators, have exceptional organisational skills, and give great customer service while remaining calm under pressure.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- Assist our Executive Chef in food preparation
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Work closely with other teams in the Town Hall
