That means giving our communities an outstanding service. As a Technical & Building Services Officer, you’ll find your greatness as you support Leighton Buzzard Centre – and provide local people with a much-loved and valued resource.
In this key role, you’ll be involved in the caretaking and maintenance of the whole Centre to help keep everything in good condition, while supporting activities in the library ensuring that room bookings and other events run smoothly. You'll also help to keep our Library Theatre running successfully, you will assist with technical support for films and live performances, and also be involved in the front of house duties to cover all activities in the theatre.
If you have building maintenance experience, then we would love to hear from you. Technical experience of working in a Theatre would be advantageous, but training will be provided. If you can also work well as part of a team and guide others, then this could be the role for you. By joining us you’ll be part of a hard-working team giving local people a Theatre and Library that’s the very best it can be.
Although you will be based at one library, you must be able to work flexibly at other libraries if required. The post works on a three week timetable, including early morning and evening shifts, you will also be expected to work Saturdays.
