Senior Corporate Engagement Lead

12 months fixed-term maternity cover from February 2022

The role

Breast Cancer Now has an impressive track record in corporate partnerships - the charity manages some of the biggest retail partnerships in the sector, such as our award-winning £4m+ partnership with Asda Tickled Pink and long term, shared purpose partnerships with household names such as M&S, Ann Summers, Cath Kidston, River Island and ghd.

Our partners play an incredible role in tackling breast cancer – from raising awareness of the signs, symptoms and risk factors of breast cancer; awareness of our specialist support services, through to raising funds, so that we can provide support for today, and hope for the future. We make sure that people affected by breast cancer are at the heart of our partnerships – from fronting our commercial international campaigns, to feeding into our partner’s products, training and services, so that they are better placed to support women, and those living with breast cancer.

By joining the team, you will get to work with a collaborative, passionate, ambitious team of award-winning fundraisers. You will have the pleasure of working for a team and charity in growth, that is making a real difference to the lives of men and women across the UK.

You will sit within our Corporate Engagement team, led by an experienced, supportive Head of Corporate Engagement, a Corporate Engagement Manager and supported by a Corporate Partnerships Executive.

This role will take the lead in designing and securing the next wave of shared purpose, long-term, high profile and high value (6 figure+) partnerships. You will take ownership of the charities flagship sectors: Fashion, Beauty and Pharmaceuticals. You will research and identify top prospects, and proactively approach and build relationships with Director level contacts of key companies.

About you

We are looking for someone to help us reach our ambitious targets, with experience in corporate fundraising and a proven track record of securing significant six figure+ partnerships.

You are an ambitious, proactive, well organised and commercially driven corporate fundraiser who can work effectively with multiple teams both internally and externally.

You will demonstrate experience of securing a variety of partnerships, including Charity of the Year, strategic, sponsorship or CRM - by establishing strong working relationships with all stakeholders.

Dedicated, results-driven and motivated in your approach, you will be a great relationship builder with excellent public speaking and presentation skills.  You will be highly organised with an ability to monitor and prioritise potential opportunities in a fast-paced environment. A natural empathy for women and their families affected by breast cancer is also essential. We are also looking for someone confident, with excellent inter-personal skills, who enjoys working with others.

About us

We’re Breast Cancer Now, the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future.

We’re that trusted friend that people affected by breast cancer turn to for caring support when they need it most. We believe that we can change the future of breast cancer and make sure that, by 2050, everyone diagnosed with the disease lives – and is supported to live well. But we need to act now.

Although the role is office based, we are following a blended approach between office and home working with a minimum or two days per week in the office for full-time staff members. Should you have any queries with regards to this please email in the first instance.

Breast Cancer Now is an inclusive employer committed to developing a diverse workforce.
