Quality Assurance & Audit Manager

  • Do you enjoy finding better and more effective methods of supporting our children, young people and families in Hertfordshire?
  • Do you wish to use your social work skills in a different way to support your fellow practitioners and help Children’s Services strive for excellence?
  • Do you have a penchant for learning and development?

If you have answered ‘yes’ to the above questions, then you may find yourself to be a great fit for our Quality Assurance, Audit and Policy Team.

We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance and Audit Manager. This post does not have line management responsibilities, but does involve making management level decisions.  You will be based in County Hall; however, home working currently applies.

You will bring to the post your substantial knowledge of children’s safeguarding / social care, associated legislation and guidance and practice experience in Children’s Services.

Any previous experience of conducting quality assurance activities, case file auditing, policy development or improvement work in children’s social care will be a definite advantage; but not a requirement.  The post holder will be responsible for particular themed areas of quality assurance work, evaluation of practice, including service user experience, making recommendations for continuous improvement, and contributing to the successful implementation of ‘Practice Weeks’.

You will be part of a small, friendly and supportive team. We are a service that pride ourselves in improving our knowledge and expertise in practice improvement and always looking to be innovative and supportive to each other.
