Digital Delivery & Business Support Assistant

Our digital mail room and business support team is at the heart of Runnymede Borough Council. The service is responsible for the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing post, data capture and business support for services across the entire Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing incoming post which includes the collection sort and scanning of post into our electronic document management system to send to services across the Council. You will also be working on a programme of back scanning documents from across the Council to make them accessible digitally through our new corporate system.

This year we introduced a new hybrid mail solution to send documents electronically for printing and postage. As part of your new role, you will be responsible for working within the team and services across the Council to increase the uptake of this new system. There will also be opportunities to continue to work with Royal Mail for adhoc post, parcels, and special deliveries.

The successful candidate will have experience in using IT systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and document scanners.

You will be working in a fast paced and demanding environment, so it is important that you are well organised, resilient; can remain calm, focussed, and professional at all times.

If you think that you have what it takes to excel in this role then we’d like to hear from you.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Stephen Bowen, Digital Innovation and Delivery Manager at Stephen.bowen@runnymede.gov.uk or on 01932 425631.
