The Health and Wellbeing Team work with elderly, disabled and vulnerable residents in Woking, to enable them to maintain their independence at home in reasonable security, safety and comfort.
Homelink is the Council’s Home Improvement Angency and you will be part of the successful and busy team helping to organize major and minor adaptations via the Disabled Facilities Grant scheme and other funding streams. You will visit clients in their homes to discuss their needs and what assistance is available and work with colleagues to achieve the best results for our clients. You will offer advice, signpost and refer to other Council services and external organisations and keep accurate records of your work.

Woking Borough Council takes a robust approach to thoroughly checking anyone who has applied to work with vulnerable groups. As this job involves contact with vulnerable groups, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Disclosure Certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
