An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, passionate, and caring individual to join the Independent Retirement Living team. delivering a high-quality service to residents in our sheltered housing schemes.
Each scheme offers secure, comfortable, self-contained accommodation, designed with the needs of older residents in mind. Therefore, previous experience of working with older people and a sound understanding of issues that may affect them is essential.
As part of the role, you will act as the on-site representative for the Council, ensuring the day-to-day well-being of our residents in the context of health and safety, safeguarding and general maintenance of the facilities at our schemes.
Excellent listening and communication skills are key to this role as you will be liaising with a range of people including residents, relatives, health and social care professionals and other stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure their needs are met.
This is a varied role, and you will be required to work on your own, using your initiative to deal with difficult situations in a calm, positive and non-judgemental manner. You will also need to provide support, advice, assistance and promote choices to enable residents to continue to live independently within their local community.
Being able to participate in the out of hours on call rota covering nights, weekends, and some bank holidays is essential.
A clean driving licence, access to your own vehicle insured for business use and a clear enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
