This is a really exciting time for you to join Central Bedfordshire Council. This provides an excellent basis for delivering new homes and jobs.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time position in the Council’s Housing Strategy and Implementation Team. The role sits within a technical team who collectively monitor Local Plan policies and produce technical information relating to housing and commercial development within Central Bedfordshire.
The successful candidate will predominantly be responsible for undertaking monitoring of development within Central Bedfordshire, responding to data requests and queries, mapping and contributing towards the general work of the Housing Strategy and Implementation Team. You will be involved in technically complex workstreams which relate to monitoring the supply of housing and commercial floorspace and will contribute to the production of the Council’s Authority Monitoring Report and Housing Trajectory.
You will have GCSE maths grade C/4 or above, have significant experience in collecting and presenting data and have excellent working knowledge of MS Excel. A driving licence is essential. Experience in using geographical Information Systems (GIS) and a background in the planning or housing sectors will be an advantage.
