Project Planner - 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Lead on project plans for one of London’s most ambitious transport projects

Exciting things are happening here in Hounslow. We’re embarking upon a major programme of change to modernise how we work and reduce our carbon footprint. Our diverse team is finding all sorts of ways to make our borough an even better place to be for our residents and visitors alike. And, taking a lead role in our high performing Traffic, Transport and Parking division, you’ll be key to helping us deliver one of London’s most ambitious transport projects.

As our Project Planner and Data Analyst, you’ll lead on developing project plans for our £10 million programme. Our transport programme aims to deliver active travel projects, major traffic engineering schemes and an exciting portfolio of innovative programmes, including EV and micro-mobility. You’ll lead on the development of project plans and carry out data analysis to support all of our decision-making for them. From planning and monitoring projects, to analysing data and translating this for everyone involved, you’ll ensure the highest standards every step of the way.

As a member of our project management team, you’ll need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and excellent data analysis abilities. You’ll bring with you considerable project planning and monitoring experience and an understanding of quality and performance audits. You’ll have a good knowledge of transport and a talent of producing business cases and managing risks. You’ll also share our commitment to improving services and reducing our carbon footprint.

Hounslow has green spaces, unique history, cosmopolitan hubs and fantastic transport links – in short, it’s unlike anywhere else. Our council is based in Hounslow House, a new landmark building located in Hounslow town centre. Meanwhile, our investment in new technology enables our teams to work remotely and flexibly giving everyone a better work/life balance. We also offer excellent career development, an inclusive culture and a whole range of generous benefits. All in a visionary borough like no other.

Join us at the forefront of innovation and use your skills to make a positive impact.

Please note to apply, you need to have eligibility to work in the UK and to be able to travel to Hounslow when working from home restrictions are lifted.
