Programme Manager - Traffic, Transport and Parking

Lead on cleaner, greener transport for everyone.

Exciting things are happening here in Hounslow. We’re embarking upon a major programme of change to modernise how we work and reduce our carbon footprint. Our diverse team is finding all sorts of ways to make our borough an even better place to be for our residents and visitors alike. And, taking a lead role in our programme management office, you’ll be key to helping us deliver one of London’s most ambitious transport projects.

As our Programme Manager, you’ll oversee a capital projects portfolio of over £10 million per year. From low traffic neighbourhoods to traffic engineering, railway improvement to cycling infrastructure, parking management to electric vehicle charging facilities, with you on board, we’ll successfully deliver them all. And, whether you’re developing management processes and documentation or managing project teams and external contractors, you’ll ensure effective governance, quality and standards every step of the way.

As a member of our senior leadership team, you’ll need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, and plenty of commercial acumen. You’ll bring with you considerable programme management experience, and a working knowledge of preparing external funding bids too. You’ll also share our commitment to improving services and reducing our carbon footprint.

Hounslow has green spaces, unique history, cosmopolitan hubs and fantastic transport links – in short, it’s unlike anywhere else. Our council is based in Hounslow House, a new landmark building located in Hounslow town centre. Meanwhile, our investment in new technology enables our teams to work remotely and flexibly giving everyone a better work/life balance. We also offer excellent career development, an inclusive culture and a whole range of generous benefits. All in a visionary borough like no other.

Join us at the forefront of innovation and use your skills to make a positive impact.

Please note to apply, you need to have eligibility to work in the UK and to be able to travel to Hounslow when working from home restrictions are lifted.
