Looking to broaden your horizons, learn new skills and make a difference? An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Fostering and Permanence Shared Service. The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join the Fostering Duty, Supervision and Support Team. The service operates in a shared services capacity and covers the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster City Council. 

The service is based in Hammersmith (however home working currently with the option of attending the office) and offers support to foster carers caring for Children Looked After. 

We are looking for a dynamic individual who feels confident dealing with other professionals and members of the public, has a sound knowledge base and excellent assessment and analysis skills. You will need a Social Work qualification, and knowledge and experience of working with children looked after and their families. We would like you to have some experience in Children’s Services. You will also need to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of national legislation in relation to Fostering. We expect our team members to have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work well with professionals from other agencies. We are looking for someone with flexibility and enthusiasm to be part of this exciting and well-established team.

You will learn whilst on the job and your own personal and career development will be prioritised.
